Sri Lanka pacer Asitha Fernando celebrated India captain Suryakumar Yadav's wicket in an animated fashion during the ongoing third T20I between the two teams at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium.
India were in all sorts of trouble when Suryakumar Yadav came out to bat on Tuesday (July 30). Asked to bat first, India lost the wickets of Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sanju Samson, and Rinku Singh inside the first four overs. The onus was on the captain to bail the team out of trouble.
However, the star batsman failed to deliver with the bat this time and was dismissed by Asitha Fernando for 8 runs in the final over of the powerplay. The Sri Lanka pacer set a perfect trap for the right-handed batsman. Suryakumar loves to play the sweep shot and Asitha Fernando had Wanindu Hasaranga stationed at fine leg for the same shot.
He bowled one outside off stump and Suryakumar ended up hitting the ball straight to Hasaranga. And as if the early dismissal was not disappointing enough for Suryakumar Yadav, Asitha Fernando rubbed salt in his wounds with his animated celebration.
As soon as Hasaranga caught the ball, Asitha Fernando let out a roar before bringing out WWE legend Triple H's and his famous D-Generation X stable's “suck it” celebration to celebrate the big wicket.

Talking about the game, India finished their innings on 137/9. The Men in Blue were reeling at 48 for 5 at one stage before vice-captain Shubman Gill and Riyan Parag steadied the ship with a 52-run stand. And just when it looked like the batters would accelerate, they departed in quick succession to leave India reeling at 105 for 7 from 102 for 5.
A fine cameo of 25 runs from Washington Sundar then helped India cross the 130-run mark. Gill top-scored for India, scoring 39 while Parag scored 26. For Sri Lanka, Maheesh Theekshana picked up 3 wickets while Hasaranga claimed two.
India have already clinched the ongoing series by winning the first two games. The visitors will be looking to come up with a good bowling display to defend the modest total and complete a clean sweep
