India's Shreyas Iyer dropped New Zealand's talented opener Rachin Ravindra during the final of the Champions Trophy 2025 played in Dubai. After the catch was dropped, the reactions of Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma went viral.
During the eighth over of the match, Ravindra top-edged an attempted slog sweep as Shreyas Iyer ran to his right from deep midwicket. He got his hands under the ball as he tried to catch it with a slide.
However, the ball popped out of his hands as Iyer lied on the ground with his face down in disappointment. After the catch was dropped, Virat Kohli was furious and disappointed at the same time.
Kohli's wife Anushka Sharma even used a cuss word in disappointment from the stands. "Beh….d," Anushka reacted after Shreyas Iyer dropped Rachin Ravindra.

It was an unexpected reaction from Anushka Sharma but it summed up the initial stages of the game when New Zealand were going strong with India almost on the ropes.
Alongside Virat Kohli, captain Rohit Sharma was equally disappointed as it could be seen from his face. While Anushka Sharma was present there, Rohit's wife Ritika Sajdesh was also in the stands to cheer the team.
Kuldeep Yadav picks big wickets
Just four balls after the dropped catch, Varun Chakravarthy trapped Will Young in front to provide India the first breakthrough of the match. India were finally able to break a solid first wicket stand.
Ravindra was on 29 when he was dropped. However, Shreyas Iyer had a sigh of relief when the left-hander was finally dismissed a couple of overs later.
Ravindra was dismissed by a beautiful wrong-un from the left-arm wristspinner Kuldeep Yadav and was bowled. The crowd erupted in joy as the dropped catch from Shreyas Iyer didn't prove to be costly.
It was a huge wicket for India as Ravindra was looking in excellent form and could have taken the game away from India. He came into this match on the back of a superb century in the semi-final against South Africa.
India finally found an opening and Kuldeep struck again in the next over by picking up another big wicket of Kane Williamson, who also scored a magnificent ton in the semi-final.
Three wickets in quick succession pegged New Zealand back and they require some solidity from their middle order to revive the innings.
Great start from New Zealand
Earlier, it was a great start from New Zealand as Rachin Ravindra was on the top of his game. The talented Kiwi batter took apart India's attack and launched a terrific counter-attack to put India on the back foot.
The first three overs went for just 10 runs but Ravindra attacked from the fourth over bowled by Hardik Pandya. He looked in magnificent form before Kuldeep Yadav bowled a perfect delivery to end his tournament with the bat.
