The Indian team has been brilliant in the field so far in the first Test, Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin and stand-by fielder Rajat Patidar produced a moment of sloppy fielding. While Ashwin was trying to chase a boundary, he could not save as Patidar joined him in the chase.
While trying to save a boundary, Ravichandran Ashwin was trying to perform a slide but was not able to do it as Rajat Patidar was also in an attempt to save the boundary. Due to such sloppiness, a boundary that could have been saved easily went for a four, and Indian captain Rohit Sharma was also not happy with such a level of fielding.

England put up a decent fightback in their second innings during the Day 3 of the first Test match against India. England wrapped up the hosts early for a score of 436 runs and finished at 172/5 after the end of 42 overs at Lunch on Day 3 of the Hyderabad Test. England batsmen Ollie Pope and Ben Stokes will be looking forward to helping England take a big first-innings lead.
Ollie Pope has been brilliant on Day 3 for England and was unbeaten on 67 runs from 94 balls along with Ben Foakes. Once again, England got off to a respectable start thanks to openers Ben Duckett and Zak Crawley, who combined to score 45 runs for the first wicket. Ravichandran Ashwin removed Crawley after he had scored 31 runs off 33 balls, but Duckett persisted in his assault, scoring 68 runs off 57 balls to take the second wicket.
Joe Root was caught in front by the formidable Indian pacer Jasprit Bumrah, while Ben Duckett’s off stump went cartwheeling for 47 runs against him. Additionally, Jonny Bairstow was not able to contribute much and was taken out for ten runs by Ravindra Jadeja.
England captain Ben Stokes, who was the leading run-scorer of the team in the first innings, was dismissed for 6 runs and was knocked over by Ravichandran Ashwin.
When Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja was removed for 87 runs, missing out on a century, India ended their first innings at 436 runs. Jadeja and Axar Patel put up an eighth-wicket partnership of 78 runs from 174 balls, with Patel scoring 44 runs from 94 balls.
India had the opportunity to put England on the back foot once more after taking an 189-run lead in the first innings. Joe Root was the highest wicket-taker for England in the first innings and ended the innings with a four-wicket haul. Jack Leach took one wicket, and Rehan Ahmed and Tom Hartley took two wickets apiece.
England had put up a decent batting display in their first innings, however, the Indian spinners didn’t allow them to score at a first-run rate and picked up 8 of the 10 English wickets and wrapped them up for 246 runs.
India in return put up an aggressive batting show wherein Yashasvi Jaiswal, KL Rahul, and Ravindra Jadeja scored 80, 86 and 87 runs respectively.
