Phillips was acquired by the Gujarat Titans for his base price of INR 2 crore at the IPL 2025 mega auction. He is yet to get a game for the franchise.
However, he has often seen contributing on the field for the Gujarat Titans. Phillips, who is regarded as the best fielder in the world, came in as a substitute fielder for Mohammed Siraj during the match against the Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Meanwhile, on the 4th ball of the 6th over, Phillips was part of an unfortunate incident. Pacer Prasidh Krishna bowled a short-length ball on the leg stump to Ishan Kishan, who played it toward point for a single.

"You're going to get a 120% committed cricketer" - Glenn Phillips hailed
Speaking on ESPNCricinfo ahead of the SRH vs GT clash, the former Mumbai Indians coach Mark Boucher lavished rich praise on Glenn Phillips and labeled him as a proper team man who gives his 120% on the field. He said:
"With Phillips, you know exactly what you're going to get. You're going to get a 120% committed cricketer. You know, and he lifts the vibe of a team as well. With his fielding, just his general character, he goes out there and he plays for the team as a proper team man. So, you know, they won't go too wrong by getting him into the equation somehow.
"Absolutely. I mean, the match-ups are there. So, you know, why wouldn't you think along those sort of lines? As I said, you know, he's a hard-working cricketer as well."
During the same discussion, the former PBKS coach Wasim Jaffer talked about GT not including Phillips in the playing XI and elaborated:
"I mean, I can understand why they are not going with Glenn Phillips. Because, you know, he has got a certain role which is probably a finisher. Because any time Glenn Phillips walks in, they're going to throw a spin at him. And that's where, you know, we've seen him struggle.
"But they've got Tewatia, who's done well. Shahrukh Khan has been playing, you know, decently well. So I can understand. But as and when I feel there's an opportunity, I'm sure they're going to throw Glenn Phillips at some stage, where they can, you know, get his couple of overs as well. He's an outstanding fielder. And with pace, you know, he can be destructive."
