Former England cricketer Michael Vaughan reacted to the Hamstring pull of Afghanistan's Gulbadin Naib after Jonathan Trott's call to slow the game down.

Gulbadin Naib, who was the man of the match for Afghanistan against Australia a couple of days ago, produced the funniest moment of the T20 WC. The moment occurred during the 2nd innings of the match when Bangladesh was chasing down the revised Duck Worth Lewis target of 115.

Every cricket fan on social media is reacting to the incident which involved the Afghanistani head coach himself. Before getting into the details of Gulbadin Naib's questionable Hamstring pull, we must talk about the match that the Afghans won against Bangladesh.

The Rashid Khan-led side were chasing a dream that the entire team and the entire Afghan cricketing fraternity have been seeing for a long time. And the dream was to qualify for the last four stages of an ICC tournament. Before this T20 World Cup edition in USA and West Indies, Afghanistan had never performed like this.

And since they played their best cricket in their short history, Afghanistan were bound to qualify for the semi-finals. The class of 2024 which includes players like Rashid Khan, Mohammad Nabi, Gulbadin Naib and Fazalhaq Farooqi among others, will forever be talked about in cricket.

Whenever there will be a mention of a cricketing fairytale, Afghanistan's run-in to the semis of the ICC T20 WC 2024 will be mentioned. On their way to the semis, the Afghans had to suffer but they also ensured to make the Australian team suffer, which has now been knocked out of the World Cup.

The 2021 Champions have no longer got any chance to win all three ICC trophies across formats within a span of just one year. And the biggest reason behind it is Afghanistan and Gulbadin Naib himself who had racked up 4 wickets against the Aussies. After becoming his team's hero that night, Naib did something earlier today against Bangladesh, which is now going viral.

What did Naib do and what was Michael Vaughan's reaction?

Mid-way through the 2nd innings, as the rain poured down at the Arnos Vale Stadium, Afghan head coach Jonathon Trott asked his players to slow down. Trott, who has been a part of the Afghanistan coaching staff for a few years now, made gestures to convey to that they should calm down a bit as it's raining as well.

After seeing his coach's instructions, Gulbadin Naib held his Hamstring and lied down on the lush outfield with many believing that it was a delaying tacticl. Naib was, in fact, taken by the Afghanistan medial staff and teammate Naveen-ul-Haq.

The way Naib limped off the ground, it was looking like a serious injury but as soon as rain stopped, he came back to the ground the scalped a wicket. Gulbadin Naib's antics intrigued Michael Vaughan to write, "Great to see Gulbadin become the first cricketer in the history of the game to get a wicket 25 mins after being shot …"
