Just when it seemed that it would be a fairytale ending for Hardik Pandya and he would finish the game, the Tamil Nadu star Vijay Shankar came up with a massive effort on the field. In the last over, when Baroda needed 10 runs, the all-rounder tried to keep the strike with him.

Hardik Pandya played the shot towards the long on and tried to take the double, which wasn't on, but he wanted to keep the strike. Vijay Shankar, from deep, hit the bullseye, and the Baroda all-rounder had to take the long walk back to the pavilion.

Hardik Pandya ended with an inning of 69 runs off 30 balls. He batted with a strike rate of over 230 and also hit 4 fours and 7 sixes in his innings. Based on his magnificent effort with the bat, Baroda completed a win on the last ball. The all-rounder was awarded Player of the Match for his heroics.
