Hardik Pandya was at the center of Team India's celebrations on Thursday night. Team India gathered at the stadium and was felicitated by the BCCI after their T20 World Cup win.

Hardik Pandya, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, and Rohit Sharma led the charge. First, it was Rohit and Kohli's dance moves as Team India did a victory lap across Wankhede. Next, it was a goosebumps moment for The Indian team and the whole stadium as the spectators saw the Indian team single Vande Mataram together composed by AR Rahman.

The song gave a real feeling of nationalism and pride to all the people and the players present at the Wankhede stadium. In between all of that, Jasprit Bumrah broke into a moment of laughter when Hardik Pandya caught someone's T-shirt.

The way Hardik Pandya caught the T-shirt looked cool on camera, however, Bumrah and the other players close to him could not control their laughter. Pandya who was booed by the same Wankhede crowd during the IPL was praised by the same people on Thursday night. It was some redemption on his part as he played his part in Team India's victory as well.

144 runs and 11 wickets taken by Hardik Pandya were as important as the 15 wickets taken by Jasprit Bumrah and the runs scored by Rohit Sharma and Virat Koli. Kohli after not scoring too many runs throughout the tournament saved his best for the last with a match-winning 76. It was a complete team effort by the Indian players and the same was acknowledged by Indian head coach Rahul Dravid as well in his farewell speech after India's World Cup win in Barbados.

“I think all of you will remember these moments. It’s not about the runs or the wickets, you will not remember your career. But you will remember moments like these. I cannot be more prouder of you guys. To come back the way you did, the way you fought. The way we worked as a team. The resilience,” Dravid said in a video shared by the BCCI.

The T20 World Cup final between India and South Africa saw the match swing like a pendulum. India lost early wickets but Kohli and Axar Patel's partnership helped them end with a string total.

Jasprit Bumrah made the early breakthrough but the Proteas made a comeback through Quinton de Kock and Heinrich Klaasen. Klaasen's wicket in the 17th over turned the match around in India's favor. Pandya then bowled the final over and dismissed David Miller as he defended 16 to help India win the match.

The T20 World Cup final was the last match for Rahul Dravid as the head coach of the Indian team. He finally ended his tenure with a World Cup title after losing two three ICC Knockout matches as a coach of the Indian team.

"What this bunch of boys has done, everyone in the support staff has done. The whole country is proud of each and every one of you on what you have achieved. There are so many sacrifices each of you have made. To see your families here today and so many of your families back home, think of all the sacrifices every one of them have made since the time you were kids. For you to be here in the dressing room today, your parents, wives, children, brothers, your coaches. So many people have made so many sacrifices for you to enjoy this memory, this moment,” Dravid said in his farewell speech.
