Young Kolkata Knight Riders and India D fast bowler Harshit Rana has been breathing fire with the ball in the ongoing game against India C in the Duleep Trophy 2024. The Day 1 of the match between the two teams is underway at the Ananthpur.

After India D got all out for just 164 runs, they started aggressively with the ball. The credit for that goes to young pacer Harshit Rana, who has been nothing short of exceptional with the ball. He has bowled impeccable lines and lengths and has troubled the opposition big time.

Not only has Harshit Rana been spot-on with lines and lengths, but he also took his team off to a flying start with the ball. The fast bowler made the new ball talk and removed both the openers of India C Sai Sudharsan and skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad.

Among the two wickets, the scalp of Ruturaj Gaikwad caught the attention of many because of the celebration that he brought up. The fast bowler bowled a delivery that took the outside edge of the opposition skipper's bat and was caught by the fielder in the slips.

As Ruturaj Gaikwad was walking back, Harshit Rana came up with a brutal celebration. The fast bowler gave him a flying kiss send-off and the video of that went viral on the internet within seconds after the batter was dismissed.

Harshit Rana notably was in the news during the Indian Premier League 2024 because of his flying kiss celebrations. The fast bowler came up with a similar kind of celebration when he dismissed Mayank Agarwal in the game against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

After that, in the game against Delhi Capitals, the fast bowler removed Abishek Porel and was about to do his trademark flying-kiss celebration, but he pulled out. However, it was enough for umpires to take note as after that, he was banned by the Board of Control for Cricket in India for one game.

Harshit then was teased a lot by his teammates in the Indian Premier League. Even after Kolkata Knight Riders won the title, the owner of the franchise, Shah Rukh Khan, asked the entire team to do the flying kiss celebration after they were posing with the Trophy.

In the ongoing game of the Duleep Trophy, Harshit started on a high note. He bowled the first four overs of his spell without giving a single run and picked up two wickets. In the first 6 overs that he bowled, he gave away just 13 runs and put the opposition under pressure.

Earlier, Axar Patel played a lone hand for India D. The all-rounder ended with a knock of 86 runs off 118 balls. The left-hander also slammed 6 fours and 6 sixes in his innings and ensured he took his team to a total of 164 runs, as no other batter in the team could go past the 15-run mark.
