KSCA's Maharaj T20 Trophy 2024 saw history get scripted in the game between the Hubli Tigers and Kalyani Bengaluru Blasters. The match between the two teams took place on Friday (23rd August) at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

Also, the match between the Hubli Tigers and Kalyani Bengaluru Blasters saw three super-overs taking place. Opting to bat first, the Tigers, led by Manish Pandey, had a decent outing with the bat. They posted a total of 160 runs on the board. Mohammed Taha, skipper Pandey, and Aneeshwar Gautam made valuable contributions.

Bengaluru Blasters' pacer Lavish Kaushal was the pick of the bowlers. He was right on the money with the ball as he picked 5 wickets and helped his team restrict the opposition to a low total. Kaushal also bowled one maiden over in his innings and gave away just 17 runs in the 4 overs that he bowled in the game.

Kalyani Bengaluru Blasters kept losing wickets at regular intervals and didn't seem to be in the game. Skipper Mayank Agarwal held the fort for his team as he slammed a vital half-century and ended with an innings of 54 runs in 34 balls.

Manvanth Kumar kept his team in the hunt with the ball as he picked a four-fer and put the opposition under pressure. However, Naveen MG, in the end, came up with a sensational effort as he slammed an 11-ball 23 that brought the Kalyani Bengaluru Blasters back in the game as the match ended in a tie, moving to a super over.

In the super over 1, Kalyani Bengaluru Blasters batted first and didn't have a great start as they lost skipper Mayank Agarwal on the first ball. In the end, Aniruddha Joshi struck the maximum to take the Blasters to 10 runs in the over.

It seemed that the Hubli Tigers would chase the target easily as Manish Pandey and Manvanth Kumar played well and took the game close to the target. But with 2 runs needed off the last 2 balls, Lavish Kaushal bowled the dot on the 5th ball and gave away one run on the last ball to take the game to another super over.

Hubli Tigers batted first in the second super over with Manish Pandey and Manvanth Kumar taking the strike. They didn't get a single boundary in the over as Naveen MG gave away just 8 runs. Kalyani Bengaluru Blasters then had a great start to the chase as LR Chetan hit a boundary on the first ball.

But after that, brilliance in the field by Manish Pandey saw the batter getting run out. In the end, 4 runs were needed off the last 3 balls with Suraj Ahuja and Aniruddha Joshi in the middle. However, Vidhwath Kaverappa held his nerves and defended the target as the match went to another super over.

In the third super over, Kalyani Bengaluru Blasters batted first, but Manvanth Kumar took the Hubli Tigers off to a great start as he removed Aniruddha Joshi. Shubang Hegde and Suraj Ahuja tried their best but couldn't get going as they ended up scoring just 12 runs.

Manvanth Kumar and Manish Pandey then held their nerves and ensured that they won the game for the Hubli Tigers. Finally, in the end, it was the Tigers who went on to win the game to gather important two points.
