Ishan Kishan, who is originally a wicketkeeper, again showed his remarkable fielding skills, taking an outstanding catch in the ongoing India vs West Indies 1st T20I match at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow to dismiss the West Indies batter, Matthew Forde.
On the first delivery of the 15th over of the first innings of the match, Matthew Forde played a pull off a shortish Kuldeep Yadav delivery. The delivery was short of length and looked harmless indeed, which forced the batter to go for a big shot.
Ishan Kishan takes a remarkable catch to dismiss Matthew Forde
Forde swung his arms, but there was barely any power or timing behind the shot. The ball went high towards the deep mid-wicket area where Ishan Kishan was posted. Kishan made a significant amount of ground on his left.
It could have been an easy catch for him, but the floodlights made it difficult for him to keep the ball in track. Ishan Kishan initially lost the ball under the lights, but recovered quickly in a remarkable way.
The fielder stretched himself and kept both of his hands close to the ground to take a clean catch. In the end, Ishan Kishan and Kuldeep Yadav were both in disbelief as it stuck to Kishan's left palm. Matthew Forde returned after scoring only 2 runs off 4 balls, and West Indies lost their seventh batter in the match.
Watch the superb catch here.

With the skipper Shai Hope atthe top of the batting order, West Indies got a promising start. Middle-order batter Sherfane Rutherford also played his part well. Apart from the fifty-plus-run knocks, the rest of the Caribben batting-order proves massively flop tonight in front of the Indian bowling line-up, which has performed without their apex predator Jasprit Bumrah. As seven Caribbean batters were dismissed without claiming runs in double digits, West Indies'first-inningss total was limited to only 171 runs against all of their 10 wickets in 19.1 overs.
