Ace pace bowler Jasprit Bumrah drew first blood for the Indian national cricket team with a sensational delivery during the first Test match against Bangladesh.
Jasprit Bumrah bamboozled left-handed batter Shadman Islam for a low score on the second day of the ongoing Test match in Chennai.
The Bangladesh national cricket team bowled out the Indian team for 376 runs after winning the toss at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.
Ravichandran Ashwin smashed a match-saving century for the home team, while Hasan Mahmud picked up a five-wicket haul for the visiting team.
Bangladesh has never defeated India in a Test match, with 11 losses out of 13 matches. Recently, the Najmul Hossain Shanto-led side secured a 2-0 victory against Pakistan in their Test series. Meanwhile, the Rohit Sharma-led team dominated their last series against England and won by 4-1 at home.

Jasprit Bumrah provided an early breakthrough for the Indian team by dismissing Shadman Islam for just 2 runs. Islam shouldered his arms to a length delivery aimed at the off-stump but failed to cover the line. The ball hit the top of the off-stump. Bumrah set the tone with this wicket in his first over.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared the video of Jasprit Bumrah dismissing Shadman Islam on X (formerly known as Twitter) and wrote, "Boom Boom Bumrah 🎇 Cleans up Shadman Islam with a peach of a delivery."

He last played in a Test match during the five-match series against England earlier this year. He took 19 wickets against England at an average of 16.89.
He Always Delivers By Taking Wickets - Dhruv Jurel
Ahead of the series, Dhruv Jurel revealed his favorite stories about Jasprit Bumrah. Jurel highlighted that adaptability across all tracks is the strength of Bumrah. He mentioned that Bumrah can handle various scenarios, whether it's bowling long spells or quick bursts when wickets are needed.
"His adaptability across all tracks is not easy to maintain. Sometimes it’s a long spell, other times it's a quick two-over spell where the captain needs a wicket. Injuries are common for pacers like him, but he always delivers by taking wickets. That's what makes him special," said Jurel.
"Most bowlers prefer conditions that suit their style, but this doesn't apply to Bumrah. He can brilliantly adapt to any track, whether it's a seaming pitch or one that favours spinners," he added.
