India's bowling spearhead Jasprit Bumrah again proved why he is the best in the business in recent times. The 30-year-old fast bowler bowled a perfect slower ball to Mushfiqur Rahim for the final wicket of Bangladesh's second innings during the Kanpur Test.

Jasprit Bumrah was tasked to bowl the final over of the session with tailender Khaled Ahmed on strike. India just needed one more wicket to finish Bangladesh's innings and hoped for their premier fast bowler to deliver. But Khaled somehow played out the first five balls and even took a single off the fifth ball of the over.

It seemed like Bangladesh would go into lunch with nine wickets down but Bumrah had other ideas. He produced a cracking delivery and used all his skills to bowl a magnificent slower ball. The ball completely deceived Mushfiqur and it burst through his attempted straight drive to hit the middle stump.

Mushfiqur Rahim had done a good job till that point by shielding Khaled Ahmed from taking the strike as much as he could. However, he could not take a single off the last ball in the second last over before lunch.

This brought Khaled on the strike for the last over to face Jasprit Bumrah. Khaled negotiated the first five balls but Mushfiqur could not resist a tempting drive off the last ball and misjudged the length.

Mushfiqur Rahim was out for 37 off 63 balls. His innings was solid and full of composure but he lacked support from the other end. Even in the first innings of the match, Rahim was bowled by Jasprit Bumrah when he misjudged the line and left a ball coming on his stumps.

India put up a spirited performance with bat and ball

Meanwhile, it was a great comeback from India despite losing two days due to rain and wet outfield. Firstly, the Indian batters showed great intent with the bat to score 285-9 in just 34.4 overs. The bowlers then picked up two Bangladesh wickets by the end of Day 4.

Indian bowlers needed to pick up quick wickets on the fifth day and they produced another stunning display of bowling. Bangladesh's batters started well and lost just one wicket in the first hour of Day 5.

But the Indian bowlers kept testing the batters with impeccable lines and lengths. The bowlers hunted as a pack as almost all the bowlers contributed. R Ashwin picked up 3 wickets while Ravindra Jadeja also chipped in with three wickets in quick succession.

Akash Deep picked up the big wicket of Shadman Islam. But the pick of the bowlers was once again Jasprit Bumrah, who finished with magnificent figures of 3-17 in 10 overs. Bangladesh were bowled out for 146, leaving India chasing 95 runs to win the match.
