Even before coming out to bat, England captain Jos Buttler has already made a huge impact in the ongoing Super 8 game against South Africa in St Lucia.

The wicketkeeper-batsman might have changed the course of the game by sending back Quinton de Kock and Heinrich Klaasen with two brilliant wicketkeeping efforts on the field. He first took one of the catches of the tournament to send back a well-set de Kock. The England skipper made a full-length dive to his left and took the catch with one hand to give his team a huge breakthrough.

And just 11 runs later, he put England in the driver's seat by sending back the dangerous Heinrich Klaasen for just 8 runs. Jos Buttler ran out Klaasen with a brilliant throw.

On the fifth ball of the 14th over, Mark Wood bowled a short delivery that Klaasen let go over his head. It was a wide delivery and Jos Buttler fumbled while diving to his left. He failed to gather the ball cleanly and the ball deflected to his left.

As the ball got away from Buttler, David Miller called for a run and Klaasen obliged. In the meantime, Buttler ran to pick the ball before turning back quickly and taking a sharp aim at the non-striker's end. Klaasen was a bit casual and paid the price for it.

He did not expect Buttler to throw the ball at his end but Buttler surprised him by hitting the bullseye. The ball went on to crash into the stumps and caught Klaasen short of the crease.

Talking about the game, South Africa were on 155 for 5 in the 20th over at the time of writing this report. The Proteas were on 87 for 1 at the end of the 10th over before England pulled things back in the second half of the innings. The winner of the ongoing game will all but seal a spot in the semifinals as both the teams started their campaign in the Super 8 with a win.
