Kuldeep Yadav, on Sunday (April 13), bowled a well-set Ryan Rickelton with an absolute beauty during the ongoing game between Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

Rickelton was looking destined to score his second fifty in the ongoing IPL 2025. The wicketkeeper-batsman started proceedings in a positive manner by hitting Mitchell Starc for two fours in the very first over. In the second over, he hit Mukesh Kumar for a six before hitting Starc for another four in the third over.

At the end of the seventh over, the South Africa star was batting on 40 runs off 23 balls when Delhi Capitals captain Axar Patel introduced Kuldeep Yadav into the attack. On the very first ball of the over, Rickelton played a fine pull shot but only got one run.

Kuldeep Yadav castles Ryan Rickelton:

It was followed by a dot delivery before Suryakumar Yadav took a single to give the strike back to Rickelton. And on the very following delivery, Kuldeep Yadav completely outfoxed Rickelton with a googly.

The ball landed just outside the off stump and Rickelton failed to pick up the delivery. He seemingly anticipated the ball to move away from him and went for a cut shot. However, the ball moved in sharply and went on to crash into the middle stump to give Delhi Capitals a crucial breakthrough. The MI opener departed after scoring 41 runs off 25 balls with the help of 5 fours and 2 sixes.

Watch:

Talking about the game, MI were on 135/2 in the 14th over at the time of writing this report. Suryakumar Yadav was batting on 40 while Tilak Varma was unbeaten on 30. Earlier in the game, Rohit Sharma failed to deliver with the bat once again and was dismissed by Vipraj Nigam for 18 runs.

MI will be desperate to win the ongoing game in order to revive their campaign. With just 1 win from 5 matches, they are currently in the bottom half of the points table and are at risk of missing out on the playoffs once again. DC, on the other hand, have won all of their four games and will be keen to extend their unbeaten run.
