Rajasthan Royals spinner Maheesh Theekshana is having a decent outing in the ongoing game against Sunrisers Hyderabad. The second match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 is taking place at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Sunday (23rd March).
Maheesh Theekshana was given the responsibility to bowl in the powerplay, and the Sri Lanka National Cricket Team spinner didn't disappoint. The Rajasthan Royals player provided his team with the crucial breakthrough, especially after Sunrisers Hyderabad were off to a flying start.
Maheesh Theekshana removed Abhishek Sharma in the powerplay and made sure that he made an immediate impact on his debut for the team. But the spinner also made two big errors as he delivered two no-balls, which didn't go well with the Rajasthan Royals players.
The spinner was also frustrated with the same and this was evident when he vented out at the umpire. On the last ball of the 6th over, the spinner bowled a dot ball and as he was about to go to his fielding position, the umpire signaled for no-ball.
This made Maheesh Theekshana angry as he was seen fuming at the umpire after he was forced to re-bowl. The no-ball went on to cost Rajasthan Royals as the Sunrisers Hyderabad batter Travis Head slammed four on the last ball and ended the power play on high.
