India has struggled and faltered relentlessly in their chase at Lord's on Day 5. After having lost their top order, the middle order, as well as set batter KL Rahul, was also dismissed within the first hour of Day 5's play.

India relied on Nitish Kumar Reddy and Ravindra Jadeja to see the Indian innings off, either to a win or at least to a draw. However, England batter and former teammate of Nitish Kumar Reddy at the Sunrisers Hyderabad, Harry Brook, had some other plans for the Indian all-rounder.

He constantly looked to shift the focus of the batter as he hurled provocative statements at the young man from the slip cordon. Though Nitish never looked affected by the remarks, they might have made an impact on his mentality for the game.

Chris Woakes gets Nitish Kumar Reddy at the stroke of Lunch

England's seamer, who was wicketless in the second innings, now has a wicket as well. Woakes was brought back into the attack, and the bowling change has worked for skipper Ben Stokes.

Woakes floated a delivery outside the off-stump, and Nitish, looking for the gentle push towards the off side, edged it back to Jamie Smith. This was the 8th Indian wicket, as England now looks determined for a win and a lead in the series.

Harry Brook hurling derogatory remarks at Reddy

First, Brook looked to break Nitish Kumar Reddy's confidence, saying this is not the IPL; Jadeja will have to score all the runs here. He looked to provoke Reddy into hitting for runs, and such a thing would help his team create chances. "Not at the IPL now. Jaddu's got to score them all," Brook told Reddy.

This seemed a very wrong move from Harry Brook, as he brought up the personal dressing room moments from the IPL to the international field and used it against the Indian youngster.

This was followed by a derogatory remark, "Who do you think you are? I remember when we were with the Sunrisers, you didn't say anything there".

With Reddy's dismissal, losing threat looms over India

Nitish Kumar Reddy's dismissal at the stroke of lunch not only marked the end to the budding partnership between Ravindra Jadeja and the young all-rounder but also ended India's hope to win the match.

Even with the fall of the 8th wicket, India's chances of not only winning the match but also surviving look very slim. Ravindra Jadeja might be present on the crease, but with Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj remaining in the Indian lineup, it seems very difficult for him to play the remainder of the 2 sessions.

It can easily be cited that with Nitish Kumar Reddy's dismissal, England has taken a huge advantage in the game and is looking to extend the lead in the series with another win at Lord's.
