Nitish Kumar Reddy was absolutely livid with himself after getting out in the ongoing game between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Lucknow Super Giants at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad.

The right-handed batsman had to walk out to bat very early in the innings after SRH lost a couple of quick wickets. In the third over of the innings, Shardul Thakur dismissed Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan on successive deliveries to put SRH on the backfoot.

Nitish Kumar Reddy walked out to bat in the middle after Kishan's departure. He and Travis Head then steadied the ship with a 61-run stand before the latter was dismissed for 47. It was followed by a 34-run stand between Nitish Kumar Reddy and Heinrich Klaasen before the latter was run out for 26.

With most of the senior batters back in the hut, the onus was on Nitish Reddy to bat till the end and take his team to a big score. However, the young allrounder could not stay till the end as he was clean bowled by Ravi Bishnoi in the 15th over.

On the first ball of the over, the LSG leg-spinner bowled a length delivery on the middle stump and Nitish Kumar Reddy came forward to loft the ball. However, he failed to make any connection and the ball went on to crash into the stumps. As a result, the SRH star had to depart after scoring 32 runs off 28 balls.

Reddy was not at all happy with himself for throwing away his wicket and did not shy away from venting his frustration. The cameras caught him throwing his helmet in anger as he was walking up the stairs to the dressing room.

Talking about the game, SRH have finished their innings on a competitive total of 190/9 in 20 overs. Aniket Verma played a brilliant cameo of 36 runs to give the innings some much-needed impetus towards the end. His knock came off just 13 balls and was studded with five sixes. For LSG, Shardul Thakur was the pick of the bowlers, taking 4 for 34.
