Ravi Shastri’s tenure as the Indian head coach has come to an end with the T20 World cup 2021 campaign and he finished off with a brilliant motivating dressing room speech. Ravi Shastri might have not won ICC tournaments for India but he certainly has made a big statement with a number of bilateral series wins in limited-overs cricket and in the longer formats around the globe.
Ravi Shastri took over as the Indian head coach after the Champions Trophy final defeat in 2017 and since then India has strengthened their bowling attacks for the away tours. The fielding standards have also gone up and the Indian side has individuals who are peaking at the right time.

Ravi Shastri mentioned that the current Indian team with the performances over the last five years will go down as one of the greatest across formats and wasn’t much worried about the lack of ICC tournament trophies which will eventually come in the longer run.
“You guys as a team have over exceeded my expectations in the way you played. Over the last few years, you go across the globe, across all formats, and beat everyone, makes you one of the great teams that have played the game. Because the results are there to be seen.”
“Yes, we did not have a great tournament, we could have one or two ICC tournaments, but that dint happen. But that’s sport, you will get another chance. You will be wiser, you will be more experienced when the next opportunity comes.” Ravi Shastri told in the Dressing room speech.
