Ishan Kishan struggles vs LSG

Kishan's performance has gone completely downhill since the century he smashed in his debut game for the Sunrisers Hyderabad. He has looked absolutely clueless in the middle, and his poor form has been one of the key reasons behind the struggles of the Orange Army.

In the match against the Lucknow Super Giants, Ishan Kishan scored 35 runs, but he looked quite scratchy during his stay in the middle. He took 28 balls to score his runs, and he hit three fours and two sixes.

His innings was brought to an end by Digvesh Rathi on the third ball of the 12th over. Digvesh Rathi bowled a 96.7 kmph good-length googly to Ishan Kishan that pitched outside the leg stump.

Kishan went for an expansive reverse sweep, but he failed to make any connection with the ball, and it spun back, beat him, and hit the stumps.

Digvesh Rathi was delighted after picking up the wicket, and he was seen doing his trademark notebook celebration. This didn't sit well with his skipper, Rishabh Pant, who was seen having a word with him after that, as the spinner had just a few minutes before a heated spat with Abhishek Sharma.

We lost momentum in the middle stages of the tournament - Nicholas Pooran

Speaking ahead of the match to the broadcasters, Nicholas Pooran said that they lost the momentum in the middle stage of the IPL 2025. He said:

"Obviously, the break came at the right time for us. We lost momentum in the middle stages of the tournament. It gives us a chance to reflect on our season, personally and from the team's perspective as well. It just needs one game to go your way, and let's hope tonight it is that game for us."

Nicholas Pooran further expressed disappointment over his performance with the bat and wanted to score runs for LSG in every game. He elaborated:

"Some things we cannot control and some things we can like processes. Personally, I have been disappointed in the last few games. Hopefully, I can continue to trust myself. Play the game the right way, and give ourselves the chance to win the last few games. "

"I have set high standards for myself. I expect to score runs every game. Here in Lucknow, we haven't been too good here over the last couple of seasons. So, hopefully tonight we will try to stay in the game for as long as possible and do the simple things to the best of our abilities."
