When Rishabh Pant is behind the wickets, the conversation on the stump mic becomes as interesting as ever. This is not the case just during international matches but during domestic matches as well.

During the Duleep Trophy 2024 match between India A and India B, Pant was involved in a friendly banter with his India and Delhi Capitals teammate Kuldeep Yadav who had everyone in splits.

During the 44th over of the innings, Pant started the banter saying to Kuldeep "Agle teen over me tu out hai. Chal try kar jo karna hai (You will be out in the next three overs. Do whatever you can)."

Pant did not stop here and further said, "Single lene do. Iske liye bhot tagda plan banaya hai isko ek single lene do (Let him take a single. I have a brilliant plan for him).” Kuldeep finally responded by saying, "Thik hai yaar. Kyu itna pareshaan ho raha hai yaar! (he laughs) (It's okay. Why are you so troubled).

Pant replied back by saying, “Out ho na jaldi (Get out quickly)." The conversation was clearly audible on the stump mic and went viral on social media.

Kuldeep Yadav was finally dismissed in the 48th over of the innings and Pant was proved right in his claims that he will be dismissed within the three overs.

Kuldeep tried to drive a length ball outside off stump from Washington Sundar and ended up chipping it straight to Musheer Khan at the covers.

Rishabh Pant has been involved in numerous banters during his career. One of the most famous was during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2020-21 when he sledged Tim Paine by calling him the 'Temporary captain.'

Rishabh Pant and Kuldeep Yadav selected for Tests vs Bangladesh

Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant and Kuldeep Yadav have been friends for a long time. Both also play for the same IPL team, Delhi Capitals, in which Pant is the captain of the side and Kuldeep is the frontline spinner of the team.

Both Pant and Kuldeep have been selected in India's squad for the Test series against Bangladesh.

The series will also mark Pant's return to Test cricket after his comeback from the life-threatening accident. The left-hander has been selected as India's first-choice wicketkeeper with Dhruv Jurel being the other choice.

Jurel had a memorable debut Test series against England earlier this year where he scored 190 runs at an average of 63.33.

He also won the Player of the Match award for his magnificent performance under pressure in Ranchi. Jurel's abilities will put pressure on Pant right from the start.

Meanwhile, Kuldeep Yadav is one of the four spinners in the India squad for the Test series against Bangladesh. The other three spinners are Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, and Axar Patel.
