Team India left-arm spinner Ravindra Jadeja took a twin strike in his first spell on Day 5 in the second and final Test match against Bangladesh at Green Park. Ravindra Jadeja first dismissed Bangladesh skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto and then removed wicketkeeper batter Litton Das to put India on top.

Bangladesh scored 26 runs for the loss of two wickets before the stumps on Day 4. Ravichandran Ashwin provided an early breakthrough for India by dismissing Mominul Haque on the third over of Day 5. Shadman Islam and Najmul Hossain Shanto played the first hour of play without further damage.

Ravindra Jadeja brought the home team into the contest by dismissing Shanto in his first over during the second innings. Shanto scored 19 runs off 37 balls, including two fours, before being dismissed by Jadeja. Akash Deep dismissed Shadman Islam in the following over to put pressure on the visitors.

Watch: Rishabh Pant Takes A Sharp Catch To Dismiss Litton Das

Ravindra Jadeja dismissed Litton Das, who managed just 1 run off 8 balls. Litton attempted to play a delivery from Jadeja that was slightly short and had extra bounce, but he ended up gloving it to wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant, who took a good catch despite the ball coming at an awkward height.

India's fielding has been impressive during the Test series against Bangladesh, with spectacular catches and quick reflexes. Skipper Rohit Sharma and fast bowler Mohammed Siraj took exceptional catches in the first innings, where the Bangladesh team was bowled out for just 233 runs in 74.2 overs.

However, KL Rahul dropped a catch during Bangladesh's second innings while fielding at third slip. Akash Deep induced an edge from Shadman Islam's bat, but Rahul failed to complete the catch, and the ball raced towards the boundary. Earlier in the series, he took a sharp catch at second slip in Chennai.

He's Complete Package - Morne Morkel

Team India bowling coach Morne Morkel praised Ravindra Jadeja for reaching the milestone of 300 Test wickets. Morkel described Jadeja as a "complete package" due to his contributions with bat, ball, and in the field. He said that Jadeja has consistently done so for many years.

"For me, he's a complete package. He bats, he bowls, he's a guy in the field that can make magic happen. Always a guy that you want in your team, and he's done that for so many years for India,” Morkel told reporters at the end of Day 4 (via India Today).

Jadeja had a standout performance in the first Test, where he took five wickets and scored 86 runs. He formed a 199-run partnership with Ravichandran Ashwin after India found themselves at 144 for 6. Jadeja helped India secure a commanding win by 280 runs and take a 1-0 lead in the two-match series.
