Rohit Sharma Dejected

India National Cricket Team skipper Rohit Sharma didn't have a great outing with the bat in the second innings of the ongoing second Test against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team. Day 5 of the last game of the series between the teams is taking place at Green Park in Kanpur.

Rohit Sharma, who was on the rampage in the first innings, couldn't make a big impact for his team in the chase. He looked optimistic at the crease and attempted to score quick runs yet again for his team. But this led to his downfall yet again in the ongoing second Test against Bangladesh.

Rohit Sharma perished to Mehidy Hasan Miraz for the second time in the game. On the 1st ball of the third over, the Bangladesh spinner bowled a flighted delivery around off, to which the India skipper kneeled to play the sweep and hit a boundary.

Rohit Sharma nailed the sweep but he hit it straight to deep backward square, where Hasan Mahmud didn't move an inch to take the catch. What caught the attention of many was the reaction of India's captain. He looked absolutely dejected as he got out and had his head down as he walked back.

Here's the video:

Rohit Sharma ended with an innings of 8 runs off 7 balls. He slammed one boundary in his innings and with his wicket, India lost their first wicket of the innings in the chase and were left at 18/1. He had a great opportunity to get some runs under his belt but that wasn't the case.

Rohit Sharma batted very aggressively in the first innings of the game and scored 23 runs off just 11 balls. His knock set the tone for his team as the entire team batted with a positive mindset and made sure they got a lead quickly and went ahead of the game.

After removing Rohit Sharma in the second innings, Mehidy Hasan Miraz made sure he chips in again for his team. The spinner removed Shubman Gill with a peach as he trapped him in lbw. He bowled a flighted delivery to which batter made the mistake of camping back.

The ball spun back in and beat the inside edge before crashing into the pad. The batter took the DRS, but the impact was on the off-stump, and ball-tracking showed it to be hitting the middle and leg stump. He ended with an inning of 6 runs off 10 balls with the help of one boundary.

But after that, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Virat Kohli took command of the game and helped the team win the game. While the young batter slammed his second half-century of the series and ended with 51 runs, Kohli ended with 29* as India won the game by 7 wickets and won the series by the margin of 2-0.
