It does not matter whether Rohit Sharma is batting or not, his mere presence on the field is enough to entertain the fans. Every now and then, the India skipper hogs the limelight for his antics on the cricket field.

And he was at it again on Friday (September 20) during the second day's play of the ongoing first India vs Bangladesh Test at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The veteran batsman had a hilarious reaction to Taskin Ahmed getting hit on his helmet by a Jasprit Bumrah bouncer.

The incident took place in the 39th over when Taskin Ahmed was facing the India pace spearhead. On the very first ball of the over, the Bangladesh pacer copped the blow on his helmet. With Bumrah bowling a well-directed bouncer, Taskin took his eyes off the ball while ducking in an awkward fashion. The ball went on to hit the helmet.

As soon as Taskin got hit, the physio came running out for the mandatory concussion Test. And as the physio was busy checking on the player, Rohit Sharma could not stop himself from having a laugh. The India skipper Rohit Sharma was seen saying something to Taskin with a grin on his face.

Taskin was seen laughing too. Rohit Sharma's comments left the physio in splits too. The India star was then seen patting on the physio's back before walking away.

Talking about the game, Team India have put themselves in the driver's seat in the series opener. The hosts scored 376 runs in the first innings. After being reduced to 144/6, India recovered well thanks to fighting knocks from Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja.

Ashwin scored 113 while Jadeja scored 86 runs. They also shared a 199-run stand for the seventh wicket. In reply, Bangladesh were off to a disastrous start. At one stage, they were reeling at 40 for 5 before a 51-run stand between Shakib Al Hasan and Litton Das steadied the ship.

However, Das and Shakib could not bail their team out of trouble either. At the time of writing this report, Bangladesh were on 148/9.
