Rohit Sharma Finds His Form Just in Time for ICC Champions Trophy 2025
Rohit Sharma found his form just in time for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which is scheduled to be played in Pakistan and Dubai. This century was crucial for Rohit, relieving some pressure after a lackluster red-ball season.
It was his first ODI century since October 2023 and his fifth fifty in 13 matches during this period. The knock was significant not only for breaking his ODI century drought but also for ending a longer dry spell in international cricket. He last scored a century in March 2024 against England in a Test.
It Was Just Another Day in the Office - Rohit Sharma
Rohit Sharma said that it was just another day at work for him. He stated that his focus is always on doing the job he's assigned and added that one or two good knocks won’t change his approach to batting.
"In my mind, it was just about doing things that I do, try and bat the way I do. I've been here long enough... one or two knocks is not going to change my mind and the way I bat. But (it was) just another day in the office," Rohit said in a video shared by BCCI.
The 37-year-old will aim for his first ODI ICC title as captain during the upcoming Champions Trophy, which begins on February 19. Before that, India will play their final match against England in the third ODI in Ahmedabad on February 12.
