The third Test will be hosted by the Adelaide Oval between December 17 and 21, and the fourth Test will be played at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) from December 26 to 30. Also, the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) will host the fifth Test from January 4 to 8, 2026.

Ahead of the series opener, WWE brought its premium live event to Perth. WWE Crown Jewel featured a stacked card with John Cena and AJ Styles running back their legendary rivalry one last time. Also, Undisputed WWE champion Cody Rhodes took on world heavyweight champion Seth Rollins while WWE women's champion Tiffany Stratton battled women's world champion Stephanie Vaquer.

Another mega match that the fans witnessed was between the Adelaide-born Bronson Reed, a member of The Vision stable, and the Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns. There was plenty of hype surrounding the match following the brawl between the professional wrestlers in the go-home RAW and Reed claiming himself to be the first ever man to stretcher out Roman Reigns.

Meanwhile, in the action-packed match at WWE Crown Jewel 2025, Reigns brought cricket fever to wrestling as he used a cricket bat to brutally beat up the AusZilla and send him flying out of the ring.

Seeing Roman Reigns' brutal show with the bat, the commentator Wade Barrett said, "He's like Steve Smith out here," before comparing the former World Champion to Ricky Ponting. Eventually, Reigns wasn't able to secure a win as Bronson Reed bagged the biggest win of his career via pinfall.

Chris Woakes predicts England to win the Ashes

The recently retired England pacer Chris Woakes, while speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live, said that England have got a great chance to finally register an Ashes series win Down Under. He elaborated:

"Going to Australia is a different beast. I'm hoping the guys can go and do a good job and we've got a great chance this time. We have great depth and a great squad. The lads in the first XI, if they can stay fit and on the field we have a hell of a chance. Ashes cricket is played with more venom behind it but these players have played a lot of international cricket and enough to know what it's about.

"We have been building nicely over the last few years but not quite got over the line in the big series, but it doesn't get any bigger than this. We are due a competitive performance down under and these guys have got that in the locker."
