Questionable Selection

The selection panel has named Suryakumar Yadav in the squad against Australia in the place of Sarfaraz Khan. There’s no doubt that Suryakumar Yadav has got a surprise element but Sarfaraz Khan has been scoring runs on a consistent basis. The Australia Tests is quite vital for India as they have to win the Test Series by 3-0 or 3-1 to stake a claim in the World Test Championship (WTC 2021-23) final.

There are chances that Sarfaraz may be included in the 3rd & 4th Test matches against Australia. The right-handed batter is at the top of his game at the moment. According to sources, it was assumed that the batter would get a chance against Bangladesh Tests but he was not considered. The Men in Blue doesn’t have a reliant middle order where Sarfaraz could have provided some stability.
