Pakistan National Cricket Team skipper Shan Masood came up with a poor effort within the field that let his team down in the ongoing second Test against the Bangladesh National Cricket Team. The second game of the series between the teams is taking place at the Rawalpindi International Cricket Stadium in Rawalpindi.
The second Test match between the Pakistan National Cricket Team and the Bangladesh National Cricket Team hangs evenly poised. Both the teams are very much in contention to win the game, and it's fair to say that the upcoming Day 4 of the game will decide who will be taking the win.
After the Pakistan National Cricket Team got all out for 274 runs, they came with a sensational effort with the ball. Khurram Shahzad wreaked havoc across the Bangladesh National Cricket Team batting lineup and picked early wickets that left the opposition team tottering at 26/6.
Khurram Shahzad picked 6 wickets in the game but was denied the 7th wicket, and it happened because of skipper Shan Masood. The Pakistan captain came up with a sloppy effort on the field as he dropped the easiest of the catches to give a reprieve to Hasan Mahmud.
On the 4th ball of the 75th over, Khurram Shahzad bowled a delivery on a good length and at the stumps. Hasan Mahmud was early into the shot as he closed the face of the bat and got the leading edge that popped to the left of cover, where Shan Masood was stationed.
The ball went low and Shan Masood got both hands before grassing it. He dropped the catch and left his teammates extremely disappointed. Pacer Khurram Shahzad, along with Abrar Ahmed, looked dejected as they couldn't believe what happened.

Thankfully, that drop didn't cost Pakistan much, as after that, they picked quick wickets and bundled out Bangladesh National Cricket Team for 262 runs. It was a staggering effort from their end as they came close to the hosts' score despite being 26/6.
Litton Das and Mehidy Hasan Miraz added 165 runs partnership for the 7th wicket and made sure that Bangladesh National Cricket Team came back in the game. While Das slammed 138 runs, Mehidy Hasan Miraz ended with innings of 78 runs.
However, in the second innings, Pakistan were off to a shaky start. They lost Abdullah Shafique and Khurram Shahzad. While in form, Saim Ayub is batting on 6*. At stumps on Day 3, the hosts are 12 runs ahead of the opposition and would be hoping to set the big target on the board.
Skipper Shan Masood would be eager to make an impact with the bat. The left-hander slammed a half-century in the first innings and scored 57 runs. He would be hoping to carry his good form and help the team win. If Pakistan lose the second game as well, Masood will have to wait longer for his maiden win as Pakistan skipper.
