India National Cricket Team pacer Mohammed Shami has returned to his best with the ball in the ongoing ICC Champions Trophy 2025. This has been evident during the ongoing game against Bangladesh National Cricket Team at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai.
Mohammed Shami, who took the new ball, didn't take long to make an impact as he picked a wicket in the first over of the innings. The fast bowler has moved the ball pretty well both ways and has troubled Bangladesh National Cricket Team batters big time.
After taking a wicket in the first over, Mohammed Shami made sure that strikes again for his team inside the powerplay. The India National Cricket Team batter pacer removed Mehidy Hasan Miraz, but the credit for that wicket equally will be going to Shubman Gill, who took a stunning catch in slips.
Mohammed Shami bowled a 136.5kph, full delivery that was pitched on a fuller than a length outside off. Mehidy Hasan Miraz saw the width and flashed his bat hard to smash it through the off-side. However, he ended up getting only a thick outside edge that went at a good pace.
Shubman Gill, who was at first slip, moved to his right and hopped to gobble it with both hands. It was a very catch as the India National Cricket Team got their third wicket inside 7 overs.

Mohammed Shami looked in good rhythm in his first spell, takes two wickers in four overs at Dubai stadium
Shubman Gill has been turning himself into a gun fielder in the slips. Since the last few years, the vice-captain of the India National Cricket Team has taken some brilliant catches in the slips and the catch today surely would've boosted his confidence going into the game.
On the other hand, Mohammed Shami, who looked rusty in the England series, looked in good rhythm in his first spell. The pacer bowled 4 overs and gave away 20 wickets, picking wickets of Soumya Sarkar and Mehidy Hasan Miraz.
Axar Patel misses hat-trick as Rohit Sharma drops a dolly, Bangldesh left reeling at 36 for five
Overall, the India National Cricket Team has taken complete command of the game. They have been sensational with the ball as apart from Mohammed Shami, Harshit Rana and Axar Patel have been in the wickets as well.
Axar Patel broke the backbone of the Bangladesh National Cricket Team with two back-to-back wickets. He almost got a hat-trick but it wasn't meant to be as skipper Rohit Sharma dropped a dolly in slips. After 9 overs, the Najmul Hossain Shanto-led side was left tottering at 36 for five. They would now be hoping to end their innings as quickly as possible and then chase the target to start the tournament on high.
