Axar Patel yet again turned out to be a crisis man for the India National Cricket Team in the game against the New Zealand National Cricket Team. The Southpaw was at his all-round best as he ensured that the Rohit Sharma-led side ended the league stage of the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 on high.

When the India National Cricket Team was left reeling at 30/3, it was Axar, who stepped up for his team with the bat and bailed them out of trouble. The all-rounder joined hands with Shreyas Iyer and steaded the Indian ship, adding 98 runs for the fourth wicket.

Axar played a valuable innings of 42 runs that brought India back on the track. Thanks to his effort with the bat, the India National Cricket Team posted a total of 249 runs on the board, which at one moment seemed difficult with the pitch being slow as well.

However, after that, with the ball, Axar was at his best. He bowled an economical spell and chipped in with the wicket of Kane Williamson. The wicket came at a crucial stage when the India National Cricket Team was under pressure, and it tilted the complexion of the match.

India National Cricket Team completed a comfortable 44-rin win against the New Zealand National Cricket Team. Varun Chakravarthy set the stage on fire with his spell as he picked a fifer, which saw the New Zealand National Cricket Team getting all out for just 205 runs.

India National Cricket Team ended the group stage undefeated, winning all three games. They will now be locking horns with the Australia National Cricket Team in the semi-final of the ICC Champions Trophy on Tuesday (4th March) at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai.
