After posting a total of just 249 runs on the board, the India National Cricket Team are putting in hard yards with the ball as well as in the field. The Rohit Sharma-led side has kept things tight with the ball and hasn't allowed the New Zealand National Cricket Team to score freely, taking two early wickets as well.

However, the India National Cricket Team had a great opportunity to remove Kane Williamson early in his innings, but the chance was bottled down by Varun Chakravarthy. The spinner dropped the catch, and it gave a reprieve to the batter, who, after that, looked solid.

On the second ball of the 20th over, Kuldeep Yadav bowled a short and down leg ball, to which Kane Williamson played the pull. The ball went uppish towards Varun Chakravarthy, who was standing just around the area where the leg umpire stood.

Varun Chakravarthy put in a dive to the right at square leg but he didn't grab it. Although it was a tough chance but it was catchable. Kuldeep Yadav deliberately bowled a short ball on pads with square leg catching, and the plan almost worked, but Varun bottled it.

This made Virat Kohli extremely angry as he was seen shouting at Varun Chakravarthy. Even skipper Rohit Sharma also was furious with the effort as the spinner dropped the catch.

Virat Kohli, who slammed a magnificent century in the match against Pakistan, slammed just two boundaries in his innings. The batter will be key for the team in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 final, which will be played on 4th March.
