Indian captain Virat Kohli was in a jovial mood ahead of the pink-ball Test against England, which is currently taking place at the revamped Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad. As a result, Virat Kohli was spotted mimicking the bowling action of former South African all-rounder Jacques Kallis and his rival Steve Smith. The video of the same went viral on Twitter.
Firstly, Virat Kohli bowled like Jacques Kallis, who rubs the ball on his thighs before running in to bowl. The 32-year old did precisely that and the bowling action was nearly the same as the legendary all-rounder. Later, Kohli defended a ball in the nets and screamed in an animated manner like Smith usually does. The same left the Twitter users in splits.

Earlier, the International Cricket Council (ICC) also shared a clip of Kohli bowling along with his frontline bowlers Umesh Yadav and Ravichandran Ashwin. The Indian captain began his international career as a part-time bowler but has refrained from bowling in the past few years. At present, he focuses only on his batting.
Virat Kohli’s last international century came in a pink-ball Test:

While Virat Kohli has established himself as one of the best batsmen of the generation and goes on to break records, the last few matches haven’t exactly gone his way. The right-handed batsman has struggled to reach three-figures for more than a year now.
His last of his 70 international centuries came against Bangladesh during India’s inaugural pink-ball Test in November 2019. But Kohli has been crafting some crucial knocks for the Indian team, enabling them to stay dominant across formats. With the third and the ongoing Test against England being a pink-ball one, Virat Kohli could reach the landmark for the 28th time in Test cricket.
