Jos Buttler gives lifeline to Phil Salt in 1st over
'Emotional' Mohammed Siraj started off the spell against his former team Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) on a good note. He nearly dismissed Phil Salt on the first ball of the over with a short-length delivery, but the opener survived as the ball landed in no man's land.
Then, Virat Kohli hit him for a cracking four on the second ball, but the pacer produced another chance on the 5th ball of the over at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
Mohammed Siraj bowled a short of a length delivery around the middle stump to Phil Salt, who looked to charge down and slap it. The RCB batter only managed to get an edge, and the ball flew towards Jos Buttler, who shockingly dropped an absolute dolly.
Shubman Gill and Mohammed Siraj Siraj were celebrating even before the ball had reached Jos Buttler, and seeing the gloveman drop a simple catch, Virat Kohli passed a cheeky smile to mock the GT players.

His game's developed - Phil Salt hailed by Nick Knight
Speaking on ESPNCricinfo ahead of the RCB vs GT clash, the former England batsman Nick Knight lavished rich praise on fearless Phil Salt. He said that the top-order batter has made a lot of improvement in his game. He elaborated:
"Yeah, it's been pretty dramatic, isn't it? I mean, when you look at what he's done, and just his form, actually, going into the IPL, wasn't huge, wasn't great. So, you question a little bit. I mean, obviously, KKR last year was outstanding. So, he's sort of picked up from where he left off there."
"Fearless batting. Yeah, really crucial. I mean, he's played on wickets where you kind of feel, so far, that the power play's been absolutely essential. And he's kind of led that a little bit. I mean, I think the only way he got out the other day against CSK was that brilliance of Dhoni, the very quick stumping. But he looked very much in control of his game.
"His game's developed, actually, quite a lot in the last year or so. He used to be very strong, sort of deep mid-wicket, almost baseball style, and then help it on its way. Now, he's kind of opened up both sides of the pitch a little bit better. So, yeah, really strong."
