India National Cricket Team batter Virat Kohli is keeping things light for the team in the ongoing second ODI against the Sri Lanka National Cricket Team. The match between the two teams is taking place at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

The competition between bat and ball is high in the ongoing India vs Sri Lanka second ODI. Both the teams are giving their best and are making sure they go to the top. Even though the hosts lost Pathum Nissanka on the first ball of the innings, they had a great start with the bat.

Avishka Fernando (40) and Kusal Mendis (30) added 74 runs for the second wicket, but after that, India bowlers made a comeback and picked up three wickets quickly. Washington Sundar removed both the set batters in quick succession of time before Axar Patel chipped in to remove Sadeera Samarawickrama.

On the 4th ball of the 27th over, Axar Patel bowled a 90kph delivery to which Sadeera Samarawickrama tried to break the shackles. The batter danced down the track and attempted a slog with big hoick across the line but perished in the process to get quick runs.

Sadeera Samarawickrama hit against the spin as the ball looped up off the lower part of the bat. Virat Kohli, who was stationed at the covers, backpeddled to take a safe catch. But what caught the attention of many was the celebration of the batter.

Virat Kohli looked towards the Riyan Parag in the Indian dugout and then performed the Bihu dance. This entertained the crowd as well as his teammates. The video of the incident went viral on the internet.

Here's the clip:

Sadeera Samarawickrama couldn't make a bigger impact with the bat. The right-hander scored just 14 runs off 31 balls and slammed one four in his innings. With his wicket Sri Lanka National Cricket Team lost their fourth wicket and were left tottering at 111/4.

Virat Kohli to play key role for India with the bat

The pitch at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo has been offering great help to spinners. Therefore chasing the target won't be easy, as was the case in the first game. India batters would be aware of the fact and would be keen to restrict Sri Lanka to as low a total as possible.

Virat Kohli will be a vital asset for his team in the chase. With him being a good player of spin, the top-order batter would be keen to make an impact. He didn't have the kind of impact he would've wanted in the last game, as he perished after having a vital start with the bat.

Virat Kohli scored just 24 runz with the bat off 32 balls. The batter slammed two fours, and it will be a great opportunity for him to set the stage on fire and help his team win the game and go 1-0 up in the series.
