Well, Australia’s scoring rate has picked up as Cummins and Labuschagne have shifted gears. They’ve added 17 runs, and the lead is steadily growing against India at the MCG. Now, India needs to regain control quickly to keep the pressure on Australia in the ongoing Boxing Day Test in Melbourne.
Labuschagne has already smashed a fifty while Cummins is also looking good at 17* and their partnership is becoming a threat to India as they still have to pick four wickets, and the hosts have already taken a 230+ run lead in the ongoing Boxing Day Test at the MCG.
Earlier on that day, a big drama happened at the MCG. Actually, Mohammed Siraj was caught by Steve Smith at second slip, but there was a question of whether it was a bump ball. Umpire Michael Gough consulted with Joel Wilson and referred the decision to the third umpire to check.

After reviewing the footage, it was clear that the ball had bounced before reaching Smith’s hands. The third umpire quickly ruled it as "Not Out." The delivery from Cummins was a yorker-length ball that angled across Mohammed Siraj. He tried to defend but got an outside edge.
It seemed to bounce before going to Smith. Cummins was not convinced and wanted to review the decision, but the umpires informed him that it wasn’t possible. The third umpire acted swiftly, and after looking at the replays, it was very close but appeared to bounce just before reaching Smith.
Notably, Siraj went wicketless in the first innings, but he is on a roll in the second innings, as the fiery pacer has so far taken two wickets in Australia’s second innings, while four wickets were scalped by Jasprit Bumrah in the ongoing Boxing Day Test at the MCG in Melbourne.
