India spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has liked an Instagram reel praising his wife Dhanashree Verma’s heartwarming gesture for him during a TV dance reality show. Time and again, Dhanashree finds herself in the news for all the wrong reasons and has been trolled brutally on several occasions.
Every time she posts a photo or a video with another male, she is called disloyal by the fans. Not only that, the fans have also linked her name with none other than Yuzvendra Chahal’s India teammate Shreyas Iyer.
Recently, she faced backlash on social media once again after posting a photo with fellow dancer Pratik Utekar. For those who don’t know, Dhanashree is currently participating in the reality dance show ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa‘ and Yuzvendra Chahal attended the show to support his wife.
Neither the India spinner nor Dhanashree has addressed the allegations publicly so far. However, the leg-spinner made it clear that he is well aware of the allegations by liking an Instagram reel in which the fans are called out for wrongly accusing his wife of being disloyal.

Yuzvendra Chahal loses central contract:
Yuzvendra Chahal recently suffered a big setback in his international career as he failed to secure a central contract from the BCCI. The Indian cricket board recently announced the list of centrally contracted players and the leg-spinner was a notable omission. The Haryana star had a Grade C contract before being omitted from the latest one.
At present, the likes of Kuldeep Yadav, Ravi Bishnoi, Axar Patel, and Washington Sundar are ahead of him in the pecking order as far as spinners for the limited-overs formats are concerned. The latest decision from the BCCI has made it pretty clear that Yuzvendra Chahal does not feature prominently in the team’s plans as of now. And it would not be a big surprise if he fails to cut the T20 World Cup as well later this year.
Before the World Cup, Chahal will have the opportunity to prove himself once again in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He is the leading wicket-taker in the IPL and will be eyeing another good season while plying his trade for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2024.
