The list of Impact Players nominated for the 27th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 between the Sunrisers Hyderabad and the Punjab Kings has been officially revealed.
The Pat Cummins-led Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are taking on the Shreyas Iyer-led Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Uppal, Hyderabad on Saturday, April 12.

Sunrisers Hyderabad, who at the start of the tournament were eyeing to breach the 300-run barrier, have had a horror run in the competition, and with four losses on the bounce, they find themselves sitting uncomfortably at the bottom of the points table.
SRH's batting unit has failed miserably in IPL 2025, and they have lost 12 wickets in powerplay, which is the most for any team. Things have not been good with the ball for them either, as their pace-bowling unit has the worst average (42.86), and second worst economy rate (10.74).
On the other hand, Punjab Kings have delivered good performances consistently in both batting and bowling departments and have won three out of four matches.
The Indian batting core has done the heavy lifting for PBKS this season with the overseas contingent yet to join the party. Talking about the bowlers, the Arshdeep Singh-starrer unit has fired together and got the job done.
Talking about the IPL head-to-head record, the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have a 16-7 edge over Punjab Kings (PBKS). They have maintained their dominance at home as since 2022, they have clinched victories in 4 out of 5 games, and at home, they lost only once to Punjab - way back in 2014.
IPL 2025: Punjab Kings win the toss and opt to bat
Speaking at the toss, PBKS captain Shreyas Iyer said that they have the ability to post big scores on board. He said:
"We are going to bat. In the last few games we have batted first, we have the ability to post good scores. We want to play some aggressive cricket, that's our mindset at the moment. We have seen that we don't have a fantastic record in the powerplay. We don't have that thought at the back of our minds. Every individual in our team play their brand of cricket. We got to be top notch, need to back our instincts. We have to keep repeating that again and again. Playing with the same team."
Meanwhile, SRH captain Pat Cummins said that he was fine losing the toss and revealed one change in their playing XI. He said:
"It's fine. I think we can chase anything. Not an ideal start. But we are training really well. Everyone is in a good space. We have lost a few in a row, but that isn't ideal. One change. Malinga comes in the side for Kamindu Mendis."
