West Indies face Bangladesh in the third and final T20I in Guyana on July 8 in a bid to win the T20I series. The final game will be the decider after the first T20I was washed out and West Indies won the second. The game thus presents a must-win situation for both teams for likable results.

West Indies won the second T20I by 35 runs after scoring 193/5 batting first. Bangladesh reached only as far as 156/6 in their quest to chase down the total. Windies skipper Nicholas Pooran spoke about putting the opposition bowlers under pressure. He also lauded his own bowlers for putting up a good defense of the big total.

“We wanted to put their bowlers under pressure. It’s a template we’d like to work on. The bowlers from both teams bowled well, they used the pitch well. Akeal read the pitch. Bangladesh’s spinners bowled well too” Pooran said.

West Indies should ideally field the same playing XI that played the second T20I. However, there are reports of Alzarri Joseph’s workload being managed and that he might be rested from the decider.

Paul did not get his chance with the bat and bowled just one over. He would want to get more opportunities with both bat and ball in the decider.
