Women's Senior One-Day Trophy 2021: Mumbai Thrash Nagaland By Ten Wickets After Knocking Them Over For 17

In what turned out to be a painfully one-sided game, the Mumbai Women’s Cricket Team annihilated Nagaland by ten wickets as they knocked over the minnows for a mere 17 in the ongoing Women’s Senior One-Day Trophy before chasing it down in just four balls.
Nagaland’s decision to bat first after having won the toss against Mumbai backfired to the hilt as the latter scuttled them out for a mere 17 in 17.4 overs.
Mumbai skipper and medium-fast bowler Sayali Satghare did the bulk of the damage. Satghare, who bowled four maidens, registered astonishing figures of 7/5 in 8.4 overs.
The top-4 Nagaland batters- Kikayangla, Jyoti, Elina, and captain Sentilemla- could not even trouble the scorers. Apart from Satghare, S Thakor [1/0] and M Dakshini [2/12] chipped in with the remaining Nagaland wickets.
None of the Nagaland batswomen could register double-digit scores with Sariba (9), who came out to bat at the No.7 spot, ending as the top-scorer by scoring nearly 50 percent of her team’s eventual total.
Chasing 18 was never going to trouble Mumbai and their openers Esha Ozha and Vrushali Bhagat ensured that they knocked off the target within a space of a mere four deliveries.
