According to a recently published report in Cricbuzz, the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2023 player auction is highly likely to be held on February 13 at the Jio World Convention Centre, which is located at the Bandra Kurla Complex in Mumbai.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had to consider a few major things while making a decision on the venue and the date to host the WPL 2023 player auction and one of them was the non-availability of a convenient place because of the ongoing wedding season.

“An IPL insider has confirmed that the Convention Centre would be the venue,” as quoted by Cricbuzz.

Also, the decision to conduct the auction on February 13 has reportedly been made following the requests from a few WPL franchises. Notably, the majority of the WPL franchises also own teams in the ILT20 in the UAE and the SA20 in South Africa and they wanted the auction to be held after the finals of these tournaments, which are scheduled to take place on February 12 and 11, respectively.
