Yuvraj Singh cried after India's T20 World Cup win? Abhishek Sharma reveals as he makes huge promise to fans

Young India batter Abhishek Sharma opened up what he did when Team India under the leadership of Rohit Sharma won the T20 World Cup 2024. He said that the title inspired him a lot and now he is motivated to win another ICC title for India.
The long 11-year title drought was finally over India on 29th June at the Barbados. India National Cricket Team finally ended the final jinx as they defeated South Africa in the final of the ICC T20 World Cup. The Rohit Sharma-led side won the game by 7 runs to etch their name in the record books.
India, who had been desperate for a title win since 2013, made sure that they brought their A game in the entire tournament. The Men in Blue produced a dominating performance throughout and didn't even lose a single game, becoming the first team in history to win the title undefeated.
The final seemed to be slipping out of the hands for India but the bowlers in Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh, and Hardik Pandya stepped up big time. They snatched the victory from the jaws of defeat and made sure that India lifted their second-ever T20 World Cup title.
While the senior India team was in Barbados, fighting for the title, the young Indian team, who will be captained by Shubman Gill, were about to travel to Zimbabwe. But they made sure they didn't get their eyes off the match and see the history getting scripted.
Abhishek Sharma, who is part of the Indian team the for Zimbabwe tour, revealed that he watched the game with Yuvraj Singh, who got emotional after the win. He said that it was an unforgettable moment for him and it motivated him a lot. Speaking in a video posted by BCCI, he explained:
"I was watching the match with one and only Yuvi Paji. When India won against them, he got very emotional. I got a lot of inspiration from that. And I also liked it a lot. Because it's everyone's dream to win the ICC trophy.
"And they have won a lot for India. And to see them emotional. It was like a moment that I will never forget. We celebrated it as well. So I think this World Cup was very special. And I got so much motivation that I wanted to win the World Cup for India."
A great ending for obviously three legends of T20 cricket - Ruturaj Gaikwad
After India won the T20 World Cup 2024, three pioneers of the game skipper Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Ravindra Jadeja called time on their careers in the T20I format. They ended their career on high and with their heads high, which was quite evident after India won the title.
Ruturaj Gaikwad while talking about India's T20 World Cup title win stated that it was a special moment. But also didn't forget to give a shoutout to Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Ravindra Jadeja. He stated:
"To have this kind of a win where almost we were in the jaws of defeat, and then to come back and win from there is a special moment. And a great ending for obviously three legends of T20 cricket."
Ruturaj Gaikwad and Abhishek Sharma now would be keen to make an impact for the Indian team and carry the legacy of the senior players. The first T20I between India and Zimbabwe will be played on 6th July.
