England opener Zak Crawley got out for 73 runs in the 2nd innings of IND vs ENG 2nd Test after a fabulous fightback. Zak Crawley has clinched a rare record against India in Tests during the last 10 years with his hard-fought half-century.

Zak Crawley has emerged as a stand-out batter for England in the IND vs ENG 2nd Test in Visakhapatnam. The right-handed batsman also scored a half-century in the 1st innings by hitting 76 runs.

However, he became a victim of Kuldeep Yadav in the 2nd innings. The India spinner crushed him with an LBW just ahead of the lunch. In the 1st innings, Crawley was dismissed by Axar Patel with a catch by Shreyas Iyer.

Zak Crawley becomes 3rd batsman to score fifties in both innings vs India

With his knocks of 76 and 73 in India vs England 2nd Test, Zak Crawley has earned the rare record of hitting half-centuries against India in Tests on Indian soil. Notably, the England opener is the third batsman in the last 10 years to achieve this feat against Team India in India.

The other two batters to hold the record are Sri Lanka batter Dinesh Chandimal and New Zealand wicketkeeper Tom Latham. Chandimal hit 57 and 61 against India in a Test match in Nagpur in 2017. Latham slammed 95 and 72 across both innings against India in a Test encounter in Kanpur in 2021.

Zak Crawley led England to a fabulous start in the 2nd innings as the visitors aimed to chase down a mammoth 399 runs in the match. However, other batters failed to support him. Ben Duckett (28), Rehan Ahmed (23), Ollie Pope (23), Joe Root (26), Jonny Bairstow (26), and Ben Stokes (11) could not bat deep as England faced a batting collapse on Day 4 of IND vs ENG 2nd Test.

Earlier, Yashasvi Jaiswal stole the show in the 1st innings with his double century of 209 runs to propel India to 396-10. Later, England collapsed at 253-10 with Zak Crawley smacking the most 76 runs. Ben Stokes added 47.
