Nurul Hasan has been ruled out of the remainder of the Zimbabwe tour after sustaining a finger injury during the second T20I game of the series.
Nurul was recently appointed as the T20I skipper of the Bangladesh National Cricket Team for the three-match T20I series against the Zimbabwe National Cricket Team after Mahmudullah was rested. Under his leadership, Bangladesh lost the first T20I match of the series by 17 runs against Zimbabwe.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh’s new T20I captain fractured his left index finger while keeping against pacer Hasan Mahmud in the second T20I match of the series on Sunday, July 31, at the Harare Sports Club. Notably, Nurul Hasan had suffered the injury during the latter half of the Zimbabwe innings and he continued as a wicket-keeper but looked to be struggling in pain.
Litton Das Likely To Lead Bangladesh In Nurul Hasan’s Absence
The Bangladesh National Cricket Team physio Muzadded Alpha Sany said that Nurul would be out of action for at least 3 weeks.
“We did an X-ray which revealed a fracture to the index finger. Such injuries take about three weeks to recover from. He is therefore out of Tuesday’s last T20 match and the upcoming ODI series,” Sany said in a video message.
Meanwhile, Litton Das will most likely step up and lead the Bangladesh National Cricket Team in the absence of Nurul. However, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has not made any official announcement.
Talking about the second T20I, Bangladesh National Cricket Team won by 7 wickets with 15 balls remaining, while chasing a comparatively small target of 136 runs.
Mosaddek Hossain was given the Player of the Match award for his sensational five-wicket haul in the match. Now the series is levelled at 1-1 and the decider will be played on Tuesday.
