Well, not the best of the days for Bangladesh at the office on Thursday facing Indian National Cricket Team. Rohit Sharma played a thunder innings to knock down Mahmudullah-led side at Rajkot. The victory for India means that the three-match series between them is now levelled with the scoreline reading 1-1.

Though Bangladesh Cricket Team started things well with the bat, the bowling department of India did reasonably well to restrict Bangladesh to a below-par score on a surface, which looked pretty good for batting. Chasing the moderate total, Rohit Sharma unleashed himself to smash 85 runs off 43 balls.

Wrist spinners are key – Mahmudullah Riyad

Speaking of the game, Mahmudullah quoted that it was a good wicket to bat but unfortunately, couldn’t get the required runs on the board. He felt that India got momentum and never let that while chasing the tally. Further, he believes wrist spinners are the key on that surface.

He lauded Yuzvendra Chahal for showing his experience and also called the leg-spinner of Bangladesh Aminul Islam as the find for Bangladesh. Mahmadullah hopes for a better show in the final match and would like to score more runs if the similar wicket is on the offer.

”I think that was a very good wicket to bat on and 180 would have been defendable. They started superbly and got the momentum. On a wicket like this, wrist spinner is a very handy bowler to have in your side and Chahal showed that” Mahmudullah said while speaking to Harsha Bhogle in the post-match presentation.

”He (Aminul) is a great find for Bangladesh and its amazing to see the efforts he put in, hopefully, he will continue like this. If we get a good wicket in Nagpur, we will look to plan better and score as much as we can,” he added to his lines.

All in all, it was a brilliant day for the Indian team while Bangladesh needs to chalk out plans for the final T20I of the series, which will also be the decider of the series. The final match is set to be played at Nagpur on Sunday, November 10th.
