It was a glorious year for Gambhir, as he slammed 290 runs in 7 T20I innings at an average of 41.42 with 4 fifties.
2. KL Rahul (2018)
KL Rahul is another player on this list. The right-handed batsman reached the 2nd spot in the T20I rankings in 2018 but could not grab the peak spot. During that year, the Indian opener slammed 324 runs in 11 T20I games at an average of 36.0 and also slammed 1 half-century and 1 century in the shortest format.
3. Suryakumar Yadav (2022)
Suryakumar Yadav is the other player on this list. The right-handed batsman recently finished on the 2nd spot in the latest ICC T20I rankings for batsmen. Yadav has scored 428 runs in 12 T20I games so far this year at an average of 38.0. He also stormed a marvellous century and 2 half-centuries in the shortest format this year.
