3 Players Whom Sunrisers Hyderabad Should Buy In IPL 2020 Auction; Not a lot of releases from Hyderabad, but the released ones are pretty notable. Shakib al Hasan was bound to be released after he was banned by the ICC for a year while Martin Guptill and Yusuf Pathan were also left out by Hyderabad. It would certainly give them a few vacancies ahead of the IPL 2020 Auction.

Star players like Manish Pandey, Vijay Shankar, Rashi\d Khan, Mohammad Nabi, Jonny Bairstow, and Bhuvneshwar Kumar have all been performing well+ for the Hyderabad-based franchise and thus have been retained for the next season.

SRH has also retained Australia run machine David Warner, who finished as the highest run-scorer in the 12th edition of IPL with 692 runs including 1 century and 8 half-centuries to his name. Of the eight franchises, Sunrisers Hyderabad (5) have released the least players from their squad.

They will enter the IPL 2020 auctions with INR 17 Crores. Meanwhile, we at Cricket Addictor, figured out three players, who should be bought by Sunrisers Hyderabad for the upcoming edition of the tournament.

3. Robin Uthappa

One of the major concerns for Sunrisers Hyderabad is their middle-order department. They have always been extremely dependent on David Warner when it comes to the batting department. Though there were likes of Kane Williamson, Manish Pandey and Shakib Al Hasan in the middle, mostly, it was David Warner, who used to be the wrecker-in-chief.

However, last year, they got yet another power-hitter in the form of Jonny Bairstow, which helped the team to bag consecutive victories but the failure of middle-order batsmen once again haunted them.

Looking at the core of the team, the addition of Robin Uthappa would do a world of good for the team. Besides that, he always had a good run when he played at Hyderabad. The flamboyant Uthappa can be the perfect middle-order batsman that the team is looking for.

2. Dawid Malan

Much like Robin Uthappa, Dawid Malan also suits for Sunrisers Hyderabad. The youngster has been in a great form in the recent past and also registered his maiden T20I century for England. His approach in the middle-order will certainly help the team during tough circumstances.

Dawid Malan has got the unique talent of scoring runs with the textbook cricket shots and knows how to play under pressure. In the 9 games he has played so far, the young Dawid Malan has scored 458 runs at an average of 57.25 and a strike rate of 156.31.

The left-handed batsman played to his limitations and adapted to different situations. Currently, he is plying his trade in T10 Cricket League, which is his first-ever stint in a franchise-league tournament in his career. Perhaps, SRH would face a lot of competition during the auction when his name appears on the screen.

1. Chris Morris:

With the absence of Shakib Al Hasan, Sunrisers Hyderabad has now got the vacancy in their overseas slot and also in their all-rounder’s department. South Africa all-rounder Chris Morris could be the perfect suit for the team, as he got the skills to deliver in all sections of the game.

He can be the power-hitter down the order in absence of Yusuf Pathan and can deliver those match-winning spells on his day. Besides that, Chris Morris has already got enough experience under his belt to make things fall in place for the team under pressure.

In total, he played 61 matches in Indian Premier League, where he scored at an average of 27 and got the strike rate of 157.62. As far as his bowling stats are concerned, Morris has picked up 69 wickets at an economy rate of 7.98.
