The England team was eliminated in the first round after losing to a weak team like Bangladesh in the 2015 World Cup played in Australia.

However, after this, the England Cricket Board took a big decision and excluded some of its senior players like Alastair Cook, Ian Bell from the limited-overs team and gave chance to some young players who played aggressive cricket.

England adopted the attitude of playing aggressive cricket and their formula worked.

Adopting this same formula, England is the world champion today. They lifted their maiden ever world cup last year at home and are among the five teams that have made an incredible comeback.

Australia

In the year 2018, the Australian team was caught in a ball-tampering scandal during a test match against South Africa. Due to this incident, 3 Australian players, Steven Smith, David Warner and Cameron Bancroft were banned.

During the one-year ban of Steven Smith and David Warner, Australia’s cricketing standards had gone down. The team was facing defeats in many big games.

However, as soon as these star players returned to the team again, Australia once again became a strong force in world cricket. After they retained the Ashes at England at their home, Australia have easily defeated teams like Pakistan and New Zealand at their home.

India

About 6 months later, the T20 World Cup was played in South Africa.

The Indian team won it due to their brilliant performance and once again returned the smile on the faces of Indian cricket lovers and are among the five teams that made an incredible comeback.

However, when Chennai Super Kings came back from the ban, they made a spectacular comeback and won the title of IPL 2018.

This return of Chennai Super Kings was very memorable and in its next IPL too, the team had reached the finals.

South Africa got the status of an international cricket team in 1889. After that, the African team played matches with Australia and England for years.

Then in 1970, there was an incident that drove the entire African team away from cricket. The reason for Africa’s exit from international cricket was the arbitrary policies of its government of South Africa.

In the apartheid policy of the South African government, some rules were made which put the ICC in a dilemma.

According to government rules, the country’s team was allowed to play only against white countries (England, Australia and New Zealand).

Also, it was a condition that only white players would play in the opposition team. In such a situation, the ICC had to ban South Africa cricket.

The South Africa team returned to international cricket on November 10, 1991, after a 21-year ban, and in the 1992 World Cup played, the team won five out of eight matches and made their place in the semi-finals.
