One of the best moments for Pakistan in the previous year was the return of International Cricket to home. They managed to bring limited-overs and Test form of the game back to Pakistan after convincing Sri Lanka to tour the country. Following the revival, the board is looking to continue the scenario by convincing Bangladesh to play in Pakistan.

The Pakistan Cricket Board is mulling over several options in a bid to convince Bangladesh to tour Pakistan for the two-match Test series. They even asked the Bangladesh Board to send a delegation to Pakistan for talks on the scheduled series.

One of the options is to split the series with Bangladesh playing one Test in January and the second one later in the year. Amidst all those proposals, the opening batsman Ahmed Shehzad expressed that Pakistan has always been a safe country for sports. He felt that Bangladesh Cricket Team should travel Pakistan for the International series.

He also highlighted the work of security agencies, who are giving security at the Presidential level for the players. Further, Ahmed Shehzad asked the Bangladesh players to visit the country and experience the hospitality.

”Pakistan is a safe country for me. It has always been a safe country for me, in the past, and the present time. Our government forces are doing whatever is necessary to organize international cricket. Players are given the security equivalent to the president of Pakistan. Everyone knows about the hospitality of Pakistan. The recent Sri Lankan tour was a huge success.”

“The Bangladesh Cricket Board will decide what they will do. But if you ask me, I would like to go to Pakistan to taste the food of Pakistan, see their hospitality and play in front of the people of Pakistan,” he concluded.

Well, the final say on tour will be taken by the Bangladesh players and the board. Earlier, the board agreed to play T20I format in Pakistan, but the players are hesitating to travel now. As per the sources, it was learned that PCB would not rule out the option of seeking compensation from the BCB if it faced litigations from its broadcaster and sponsors.
