BCB Fined Al-Amin Hossain For Code of Conduct Breach

Bangladesh cricket has found itself in yet another controversy during one of their domestic matches. It is the last thing the Tigers as their performances have also been on the decline and the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), has taken action to reduce their pay-scale because of it. As per the latest development, fast bowler Al-Amin Hossain has been fined for breaching the code of conduct by their board.

In the final match between BCB South Zone and Islami Bank East Zone, the fast bowler made Level 1 (2.5) offence which states “hurling abusive language and using inappropriate body gesture towards a dismissed batsman”.

The press release made by the BCB mentioned that Al-Amin had been charged with 50 per cent of his match fees. He was found guilty for surpassing the Level 1 (2.5) Offense.

Meanwhile, South Zone emerged victorious in the final as they bagged their fourth BCL title, winning by 105 runs on the fourth day at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram.

Across two innings, the 30-year old right-arm speedster, took only one wicket. He claimed the wicket of Mohammad Ashraful for five in the second innings, as East Zone fell short when chasing 354 runs.

Thus far, Al-Amin has featured in seven Tests, 14 ODIs, and 30 T20Is for the national side. He played his last game for Bangladesh against Pakistan in a T20 international in January.

The lanky pacer wasn’t given the nod for the only Test against Zimbabwe in Mirpur, which the home side won comprehensively.
