There is always something with the Team India fans. One day, they wish for a player to be out from the team and on the other day, they would love to see the very same player in the dugout. The latest cricketer to fall under that stamp is Suresh Raina, who has been overlooked for the Asia Cup 2018. The competition is slated to be held in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The flamboyant batsman was asked to replace Ambati Rayudu in India’s tour of England 2018. Though he scored a fifty in one game, he failed to knock the runs in the remaining games when it mattered the most eventually, ended up receiving the axe for the six-nation tourney.

Despite not making it to the Asia Cup 2018, the chances are still wide open for the stylish southpaw.

However, recently, the chief selector, MSK Prasad said they are trying various players for the number four spot ahead of the ICC World Cup 2019.

Perhaps, being the left-handed batsman and experience of playing a lot of International cricket could work the things in Raina’s way. He has all the abilities to be in the team if he applies himself and score runs for the team.
