Asia Cup 2018, Super 4 Match 5- India vs Afghanistan- 5 Players to Watch Out for ∼ Team India is all set to meet Afghanistan in their final match of the Super 4 before they gear up for the big final in a few day’s time. The Men in Blue have played some terrific brand of cricket in the tournament so far which reflects in the results. They are the only unbeaten team at the moment with4 wins from 4 matches. On the other hand, it has been a roller coaster ride for Afghanistan. Despite being at the top of their game they have missed out on the final berth quite narrowly. They could have won both the matches against Pakistan and Bangladesh. However, it wasn’t to be which has left the match against India as an inconsequential one.

Rohit Sharma

The Hitman of India has been in superb form in the tournament so far and one of the key player in India vs Afghanistan- 5 Players to Watch Out for. He scored a magnificent century against Pakistan in the previous encounter and shared a huge opening stand of 210 runs with Shikhar. He has timed the ball quite brilliantly and will definitely look to get yet another big score under his belt.

The shots which Rohit has pulled off have again left everyone in awe. The stylish batsman has smashed a couple of the fifties and a century in the tournament so far. Hence he will be one of the main players to watch out for in their final match of the Super 4 stage.

Though he hasn’t scored too many runs in the Asia cup 2018 so far, his tactical brain has come in very handy for Rohit Sharma. All the suggestions which Dhoni has given Rohit have worked wonders and helped the Indian team immensely. In the match against Bangladesh, Dhoni asked Rohit to place a fielder in a certain position and the ploy worked in the very next delivery.

Even in the last match against Pakistan one of his review calls was simply exceptional. He finally came back to some run-scoring form with a gritty knock of 33 runs against Bangladesh. He will definitely look to score some runs if he gets an opportunity in the dead rubber.

The left-arm chinaman bowler is yet to flourish in the tournament so far. He has bowled well in patches but hasn’t bagged the number of wickets which has been his strength in his brief career so far. Despite his ordinary showing in the tournament so far there is no doubt about the fact that he is a champion bowler and can turn the complexion of the game within moments.

Hashmatullah Shahidi

For Afghanistan, this particular left-handed batsman has been a prolific run-getter especially in the last couple of matches. In the match against Pakistan, Shahidi scored a brilliant 97 of 122 deliveries which allowed Afghanistan to post a pretty competitive total.

However what came as a major issue in the final overs was his indecision to take a run when an easy single was on offer. However, as he was approaching a century, Shahidi decided to refuse the single. However, it proved to be crucial in the end as Afghanistan lost a narrow clash with Pakistan.

No introduction is required for this particular bowler. He is a champion in his own rights and has shown why he is considered one of the very best in the world. We all knew about his bowling skills. He had shown his guile and variations all through the tournament and has been the most successful bowler for Afghanistan.

However what has impressed all and sundry has been his contribution as a batsman lower down the order. He scored a sensational half-century against Bangladesh in the group game which set up a famous victory for the Afghans. He will definitely be one of the players to watch out for in the inconsequential match between India and Pakistan.
